Sherlock Holmes was a fictional detective created by Arthur Conan Doyle. The character’s death in The Adventure of the Final problem sparked such a negative reaction from readers that Conan Doyle was forced to resurrect the character in his next work, The Adventure of the Empty House.
Gareth David-Lloyd would end up playing Doctor Watson in the 2011 movie Sir Arther Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes.
